Fresh off the release of her book Tough Love: My Story of the Things Worth Fighting For, Ambassador Rice comes to Chicago for a candid discussion about her life as a mother, wife, scholar, diplomat, and champion of American interests and values.
Ambassador Rice currently serves as Distinguished Visiting Research Fellow at the School of International Service at American University, a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times. She previously served as National Security Advisor to President Barack Obama from 2013- 2017 and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013.
