Spotlight on Black History: The Life of John Lewis

February is Black History Month. You are invited to a discussion of the life and legacy of the late Civil Rights Activist and U. S. Congressman John Lewis. Led by bookseller Jon Grand, the discussion will focus on the forces that motivated Lewis as well as the challenges of the present day, with the pursuit of racial justice and equality not yet completed. The discussion will take Jon Meacham's book His Truth Is Marching on: John Lewis and the Power of Hope as its starting point. However, this is not a book talk, but rather a forum for discussion racial equality in America. A reading list will be available to all registrants.
